World Art-Portal – New Open Access Project of University Library Online
Neksmedia company, owner of University Library Online platform, launches a new open access project World Art-Portal. The collection comprises more than 150 000 images in the field of painting, drawing, decorative and applied arts, sculpture and architecture. The scope of the database suggests that the project will take a leading position among Russian Internet galleries.
Access to the portal is open for all users. Registration is optional, it allows users getting additional opportunities, for example creation of one’s own galleries and viewing other user’s galleries.
At the platform there is an advanced search as well as catalog of museums, countries, genres, eras, styles. Each image is accompanied with detailed description, including information about the author, time and place of creation, storage location, size and technique, in which the work has been performed.
Lots of images are freely available in public access, so users of the portal can apply them in their documents, blogs, derivative works, or social networks. The illustrations on the website are given in the quality and resolution sufficient to use them for personal purposes.

Electronic Archive of Russian Historical Statistics in Open Access
Electronic Archive of Russian Historical Statistics in Russian and English is in open access at https://ristat.org/.
These data allow scholars tracing the social and economic development of Russian regions for the last three centuries. The statistics is collected upon a single program, which includes seven areas (population, employment, industrial production, agricultural output, services, capital, land) for the five time slices (1795, 1858, 1897, 1959, 2002). Statistical data for the XVIII - XXI centuries are derived from various published and unpublished sources, standardized and organized in a database. The database is targeted at the academic community, teachers and students interested in the Russian history.
