IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Thematic Collections – New Service for University Library Online Subscribers

University Library Online has recently launched a new project for subscribers – 72 thematic collections covering a wide range of topics.

 

These collections cover the most valuable books and materials related to literature, culture and history. Among them:

"First World War" comprises vivid memories and unique works dedicated to this event.

"The Romanovs" collects the story of each of the representatives of the royal family revealed in historical studies, biographies, correspondence, novels, archives.

"Library of the Russian Classics" is the largest series covering more than 20 collections of the creative work of Russian writers and poets in the form of the complete works, a compendium of research and literary criticism.

"The Great Artists", "Museums of the World", "The Great Architects" are joint projects of Direct-Media and Komsomol’skaya pravda.

"History of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy", and other unique collections on religion and ethnography, philosophy and literary criticism.

 

Access to all thematic collections is opened for all subscribers for online reading.

CHANGES AND DEVELOPMENTS

Abstracts of Russian Dissertations in Open Access

Since January 2015 electronic collection of abstracts of Russian dissertations is in open access for all users.

Full texts of abstracts across all disciplines became available for readers due to the changes to the Federal Law of the Russian Federation.
