MIPP Special Offer: Online Access to Russian Encyclopedias

MIPP International offers online access to the collection of the most famous Russian Encyclopedias available in the database “University Library Online” at www.biblioclub.ru. The collection is offered on an annual basis for unlimited number of simultaneous users within institution at the special price $995 per year. This special offer is valid till December 31, 2011. The collection comprises 35 encyclopedias published by the publishing house "Big Russian Encyclopedia" (previously "Soviet Encyclopedia").

At www.biblioclub.ru you will find such legendary and well-known encyclopedias as Great Soviet Encyclopedia that contains 72 volumes, Myths of Nations of the World, Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedia, the Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian Language by V.Dahl and other scientific and popular encyclopedias and dictionaries in such fields of modern knowledge as Russian history, politics, law, geography, medicine, agriculture and engineering.

LAW Subject e-Catalog has been released recently by MIPP Electronic Resources Department. It comprises a selection of electronic resources covering all areas of the Russian and CIS legislation (databases, online journals, ebooks collections).

Digital Dissertation Library

Being the official agent of the Russian State Library, MIPP International offers a legal way to access the most comprehensive electronic collection of dissertations having been defended in Russia since 1944.

Digital Dissertations Library contains about 650 000 full text dissertations and abstracts in various fields, including philology, philosophy, economics, law, physics and mathematics, chemical, biological, technical sciences, architecture, art, medicine, pharmacy and others.

The catalogue of the Digital Dissertations Library is available at http://diss.rsl.ru/?menu=disscatalog.

About 1400 abstracts and 1300 dissertations are freely available for every user.

The example how to search among opened materials.

To obtain full access to all dissertations libraries join Virtual Reading Rooms of the RSL which are created in the libraries in all parts of the world. The cost of annual contract is $5300. There is also possibility to conclude a contract for half a year at $2650. The price includes 10 installations of DefView system (program for safe document viewing).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of the restrictions in the Russian copyright law neither RSL nor its official agents can allow users buy individual copies of dissertations.
