Russian academic journals at eLIBRARY.RU
MIPP International and Russian company RUNEB, a developer and owner of the scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.RU, recently announced a distribution partnership allowing libraries to subscribe to electronic versions of Russian academic journals. eLIBRARY.RU contains more than 2000 full-text academic journals in all areas of abstract science, including 107 journals from the publishing house "Nauka". Specially for Slavic Studies Centers there is a subject collection "Literature and linguistics" which includes 33 journals from the authoritative Russian publishers.
It is not necessary to subscribe to the whole collection. Institutions may subscribe to any number of titles and add new titles anytime within a subscription period. Access to the already-paid content is retained within 10 years after subscription expiration. Archives are available for additional cost which is provided upon a request.
Institution's authentication is IP-based. Number of simultaneous users within IP range is unlimited. However, personal registration is required for every user within the institution. Registered users receive their personal profiles where they are able to create personal collections of journals, articles, preserve the history of searches, customize the navigator panel. Full usage statistic report is provided and updated once a month.
eLIBRARY.RU doesn't offer free trials; however 1180 titles are available in open access for all registered users. The registration is free.
