Based on the Eclectic Theory of International Production and other relative secondary theories, the book breaks down the mechanism and external conditions of ownership-specific advantages and internalization advantages, combining the experience from the developed countries’ investment in Latin America with the experience of transnational corporations from developing countries. The book aims at providing a systematic suggestion on the investment from China’s oil enterprises. The book also discusses the current most-discussed issue in China’s academia –the competitiveness of China’s direct investment on the oil of Latin America, and the U.S.’s impacts on China’s direct investment can not be ignored as Latin American areas are heavily influenced by geographical advantages, politics and culture.
