The collection contains articles and materials of reports delivered at the international conference "Dialog of cultures: the USA - Kyrgyzstan" conducted in Bishkek on September 27-29, 2001. Special attention was paid to the American drama of the XXth century, as well as perception of American literature in Kyrgyzstan, experience of Kyrgyz-American cooperation in education, and problems of teaching American literature in universities of the republic.
