Kyank'i nyarde: 1990-akannern ow Arts'akhyan paterazme arajin kowrsi owsanoghi ach'k'erov

The nerve of life: The 1990s and the Artsakh war through the eyes of a freshman
Erevan: Newmag , 2020. 342 p. Hard. ISBN 978-9939-884-06-6; 9789939884066.  In Armenian
What was the Armenian young man thinking in the 1990s, during the collapse of the USSR, independence, the Artsakh war, the energy crisis? Did he feel the irreversibility of the historical changes witnessed by the older generation? And what did it mean to be a 17-year-old carefree teenager in the most difficult times? Arman Saghatelyan's autobiographical novel presents Armenia of 1991-93. It is not black and white, it is not only about the victorious struggle for survival, but also about cold and darkness. Everything was neither too bad nor too good. According to the author, it was tolerable. This book is about two young men who appeared on the battlefield. They secretly leave for Artsakh from their parents and take part in the battles for Chldran. The Artsakh war is described through the eyes of an eyewitness. Nothing is exaggerated: neither fear, nor courage, nor death, nor struggle.
