Natalia Matolinets is a Ukrainian writer from Lviv, author of the novels Hessie and the Academy of Amaterasu, and books from the series about Warta Tarnovetska. Winner of the "Coronation of the Word 2017" award in the "Novels" nomination for the work "Hessie"; the novel was also shortlisted for the 2018 BBC Children’s Book of the Year, and the Amaterasu Academy was named one of the top five BBC Children’s Books of the Year 2019. The author promises that this book will be somewhat different from the rest of her works, and the world described in it - sometimes uncomfortable, unusual, but no less fascinating. The writer worked on the novel for two years, and even then inscribed the epidemic in the plot, because of which the story turned out to be quite relevant.
