The book presents the amphorae collection of various production centers of 6th - 2th centuries ВС from the State Hermitage Museum. This edition consists of the introduction, two chapters and the catalogue. The first chapter gives a detailed history of the Hermitage's amphorae collection. The second chapter describes the ceramic assemblages, including containers of various centers of production, which originate from different regions of the Black Sea Area. In the catalogue each amphora is accompanied by a description of the morphology of vessel. Analogies and dating according to existing classifications are given.
