The book analyzes the powers and the role of caretaker (interim) governments in the context of political crises. The author argues that Bulgaria is the only European country where the formation of a caretaker government is so clearly regulated and is even provided for in the Constitution. Practically every Bulgarian political crisis has involved the establishment of a caretaker government. Toma Bikov (born 1980) is a Bulgarian politician and journalist, founder and Board member of the Institute for Right-wing Politics.
